"Gusher" style pads are tailored so that the top layers of fabric are cut and sewn in a way that each row will fray, but not completely unravel. This method is called "faux-chenilling", which is commonly used with certain styles of blankets. The open frayed rows are excellent gush/clot absorbers!

"Exposed Core" means a Cloth Pad Core is on top of the "Topper" fabric, rather than underneath it. Our Exposed Core Cloth Pads are fashioned so that the Gusher layers are in the top Exposed Core PLUS an absorbent core inside. 

Your gusher pad will come "un-prepped", meaning it won't be frayed until you do your initial/pre-wearing wash. Once your gusher has been through a few more washes the fray will open up to it's full potential!

Materials & Core information:

Your "Gusher" Cloth Pad will consist of the Exposed Core layers of Cotton Flannel (100% Cotton) on top of Cotton Spandex (95% Cotton, 5% Spandex), with the following core layers also sewn inside:

Heavies - Hemp Cotton Knit (55% Hemp, 45% Organic Cotton)

Supers & Ultras - Hemp Cotton Knit and Zorb (28% Cotton, 26% Tencel, 23% Bamboo viscose, 13% Polyester, 10% Nylon)

"Backer" Fabric that sits against your underwear: Black liquid resistant Oeko-Tex certified Dintex Softshell Fleece (100% Polyester)

Snapped Widths per Absorbency

Our Cloth Pads have two socket snaps to choose between two different width options. The width of each Pad varies per absorbency, and are approximately as follows:

Heavies ● 2.75" & 3"

NEW for 14" ** Super Heavies ● 3" & 3.25"

Ultra Heavy Wides ● 3.5" & 3.75"
